Amanda brings high level expertise and in-depth knowledge in political and government engagement having been a Member of Parliament in the ACT Legislative Assembly from 2008-2012 for the ACT Greens.
Amanda’s political knowledge and experience is coupled with over 20 years of experience in executive and non-executive roles in the not-for-profit sector. Amanda’s has worked in a range of areas including health, disability, drug and alcohol, women, social services and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues.
As a member of Parliament, Amanda led the research and development of legislation, chaired Parliamentary committees and was a spokesperson for a range of portfolios, including health, disability and corrections.
Amanda has developed and implemented successful political engagement and election strategies, and undertaken work in political lobbying and advocacy for the for-profit sector. Amanda has represented organisations on high level government committees, including as a Ministerial appointee.
Amanda is currently Director for Women’s Health in the Southeast, Better Renting and NRL Wheelchair Rugby League Victoria; and is on the Committee for the Port Melbourne Chargers Women’s Football Club. Amanda is a judge for the Hesta Community Sector Awards.
