COVID-19 Update

PREMIERSTATE PREMIERNATIONAL HAVE EXPANDED OUR OPERATING HOURS TO A 7 DAY/ 7 NIGHT PLATFORM TO MEET THE INCREASED DEMAND ON OUR SERVICES AT THIS CHALLENGING TIME.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we would like to update our clients, stakeholders and network on the PremierState + PremierNational response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are closely following the health advice from government and are implementing an informed, sensible and practical response. We would like to provide you with an update on its immediate impact on our operations:

  • Protecting Your Health is paramount to us. We are increasingly hosting phone and video conference meetings for clients. For essential meetings with clients in our office, hand sanitizer is available at our reception, handshakes will be replaced with warm welcomes, and 1.5m spacing between attendees will be practiced.

We are following health guidelines closely, and will comply with any updated recommendations to keep you safe. We ask our clients to work with us in this new world environment. If you feel unwell or have been overseas in the last 14 days, we respectfully request meetings occur via phone and video conference.

  • A Cloud-Based System. Our operations will continue to support remote working for our team and clients, so any changes to advice regarding in-office operations will not affect our workflow.

  • The Business of Government continues to proceed with intensity. PremierState PremierNational have been working with many clients as they shape their responses to COVID-19 with government. Notwithstanding the primacy of the Nation’s health, Governments must address the continuing viability of business and the jobs of our fellow Australians. We are here to assist you in working with government on proposals that lay the groundwork for you after the immediate health crisis subsides.

  • Specialist Helpline for Business Impacted by COVID-19. From yesterday the Federal Government has expanded its Business Hotline assisting small and medium business impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It will now operate seven days a week with specialist advisors from 7am-11pm AEST on 13 28 46 and at business.gov.au.

  • On a War Footing. During this time, clear channels of communication and action between government and the corporate sector are critical. We are in a position to continue delivering for existing and now new clients and consider it vital to do so. Accordingly, we have escalated our operational capacity, with our entire and expanded PremierState PremierNational Team available to our clients – directly on their mobile phones – consistent with operational hours of the Federal Hotline: seven days and seven nights a week 7am-11pm AEST on 02 9223 0311 and at contact@premiernational.com.au

  • Our Teams Approach. With our world’s-best-practice government relations offering, we continue our unique Teams approach to maximise our service level to all out clients. As such, with a dedicated three-person unit working with each client - one will be always available.

  • A National Platform with Bipartisan Capacity. We have very recently expanded our government relations connectivity with the appointment of Darrin Barnett as Director of Labor and Crossbench Engagement. Darrin was a former Canberra Press Gallery journalist and Press Secretary to Prime Minister Julia Gillard. Clients with national interests will see the immediate value of his service with Labor’s state government in Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.

Please be in contact if you have any questions regarding the above.

Warm regards,
